posts that we usually supply are pressure
treated Ontario pine, harvested as a
result of pre-commercial thinning as
part of good forestry management of
plantations. The pressure treating process
is the most up to date process whereby
the posts are totally stabilized before
leaving the plant so that there is no
chance of any harm to the environment.
Pressure treated pine posts and hardwood
droppers/battens are used and guaranteed
in writing for 30 years (should last
many years longer). This means that
they will last an average of 3-4 times
longer than other types of wooden posts.
Therefore, fewer trees must be harvested.
